MALAYSIA TANAH AIR KU 💥
EVERY 31st OF AUGUST EACH YEAR, MALAYSIANS CELEBRATE THE DATE THAT MARKED MALAYSIANS INDEPENDENCE DAY !
When we talked about Independence Day, how much does the meaning reach to your heart?
For me, it is remembering how our freedom was hard fought and won. Some may say, it is the day where everything from celebrating our freedom to enjoying the evening with fireworks can be felt. Being with family and friends is literally a blast on this day!
We enjoy singing the National Songs, decorating our classroom, watching the countdown concert, counting down the time to midnight and watching the parade on National Day.
Why we should LOVE Malaysia???

- According to CNN, Malaysia is rated as one of the best shopping experiences in the world. In Kuala Lumpur city alone, there are over 10 different malls: Suria KLCC, Pavillion, Lot 10, Fahrenheitt 88, Avenue K
- Located just outside the Ring of Fire, Malaysia is relatively free from major earthquakes. There’s also no active volcanoes and the only climate related problem to watch out for are flooding in coastal regions during the monsoon season and droughts.
- Apart from having good healthcare facilities and professionals, Malaysia is also known for being a medical tourism destination in Southeast Asia and was awareded the 2015 Public Private Partnership Medical Travel Destination of The Year Award by the World Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress.
- Just about every person in Malaysia is kind and pleasant. If you smile at a stranger and they’ll likely smile back.
- Accommodation and transportation is affordable and food is very cheap as well, which means you’ll be able save on basics and party more!
- Malaysia is rife with fresh produce. The fruits and vegetables, particularly, are often colourful, ripe, juicy and totally delicious. Cameron Highlands is one place that’s known for its fresh vegetables – the cool climate there is great for farming.
Ways to LOVE our country!!!
- Be conscious of your environment and help lift everyone around you up when you can. Love your home, love your people, and celebrate the culture that bonds you together as a nation.
- By making sure we never forget our roots no matter where we go. The place where one grows up always plays an important role in finding yourself and showing the rest of the world what it is to be a Malaysian.
- Supporting the projects and programs of our government that are beneficial to all.
- Be an active citizen, and be part of your country’s political process.
- Not losing our sense of national pride: we should be proud of our origins, no matter what.
What I think about the sense of patriotism in youth nowadays?
Personally, I don't think Malaysian Youth these days seems to have a strong sense of patriotism within themselves. It is because the value of freedom and independence are lack in their soul. They tend to ignore the hardships that our ancestors fought to bring peace to this country. The comfort of living in such a harmonious and balance country has making them forget to be grateful for the pleasure that they had. More and more efforts has to be put to raise the spirit of patriotism in youth nowadays so that they will how much know the value of independence is important in each one of us :)
