EID MUBARAK πŸ’–

HAPPY EID MUBARAK TO ALL MUSLIMS IN THE WORLD!

Hari Raya is one of the month that muslims all over the world been waiting for after one month of fasting and they have been faced the tough situation during the fasting season. For me and my family, we consider it as a special day to catch up with the relatives, friends, neighbors and children.

This year, we celebrated our Hari Raya in Kuantan, Pahang for the first day of Eid while in Kuala Lumpur, on the second day of Eid.

One night before the Hari Raya, my family and I were busy helping each other to make "pelita". It is a heritage for Malay people to fire up the beauty of the entire house. It is made up from bamboo stick and filled with oil. But nowadays, people had invented a new kind of pelita which is made from plastic that is safe to used. I can see my mother and grandmother were busy making some cookies and mouth watering food. There were ketupat, lemang, pulut kuning, lontong and some other delicious food. These foods will never miss as they are the main food for Hari Raya Puasa.

On the day of Hari Raya, many of my relatives came to my house to celebrate Hari Raya together.
I can see people get bonded with each other hence strengthening the relationship between each other's respective. It also helps someone's weight to gain more weight drastically due to the intake of lots of variety food.

Moreover, there must be an event that we called an open house that will be held by our neighbour and relatives as well as collegues. The event helps to strengthen the relationship between family members and friends after not seeing each other for a long period of time. I hope kind of this event should be practically in every Muslims members.

One thing that I love about Hari Raya is that our big family will gather together and celebrate it happily after a long time of not meeting each other. Not to forget, the 'duit raya' is also one of Hari Raya's most special attraction because kids will get a lot of money from their family and elder people. I hope the tradition of celebrating Hari Raya in Malaysia and our upcoming generation will not fade and remains as genuine as the old times.
